Rathtrevor Beach

About the Park

One of the most popular destinations on Vancouver Island, reservations are recommended. Over 2 km of sandy beach and 5.5 km of hiking trails within the park. There are many day trips accessible from Rathtrevor, and it is only 30 minutes from the Nanaimo Ferry Terminal. Camping is available year round. Frontcountry camping – $35/party/night
Walk/cycle-in frontcountry camping – $22/party/night
Group camping base fee – 120/group site/night
Group picnicking – $50/group site/day
Sani-station – $5/discharge
Winter frontcountry camping – $11/party/night

Facilities

225 campsites, 4 group sites, 2 picnic shelters, tent only sites, plus 25 walk-in tent only sites, a nature house, gift shop and concession. Other amenities include 4 shower buildings, 2 flush bathrooms in the day-use area and a sani-station.

Location

3 km south of Parksville on Highway 19a. Take Exit 51 off Highway 19 and follow signs to the park.
