Loveland Bay

About the Park

A secluded and sought-after hideaway on peaceful Campbell Lake. The pristine and stunning lakeside sites are a popular destination in the summer months. Campbell Lake is ideal for canoeing, boating and swimming. Loveland Bay is 100% reservable and reservations are recommended. If you aren’t fortunate enough to get a reservation for Loveland Bay consider beautiful Morton Lake for a similar rustic camping experience. Loveland Bay historically has several vacancies in late-April to mid-June and after Labour Day to Thanksgiving. Check camping.bcpark.ca for availability. Open April 17th to October 13th, 2025. Before any visit, check bcparks.ca for updated operating dates and advisories.

Rates

Frontcountry camping – $22/party/night
Group camping base fee – $80/group site/night, plus $5 per adult (16+, minimum charge for 15 adults), plus $1 per child (6-15). Children under 6 are free!
Winter frontcountry camping – $11/party/night

53 campsites and 2 group sites.

Location

Access is off Highway 28 across the dam is unavailable until 2029. Alternate access is available via Hwy/BC-19 N. Brewster Lake Rd is a gravel forestry road. Located 30 minutes from Campbell River.
